South African Singer Bleaches Skin, Has a ‘Passion For Whiteness’
This is so upsetting I can’t even handle it. When she tried to justify skin bleaching by citing her numerous cosmetic surgeries… it was really just repulsive. I feel so bad for her, but at the same time it’s so hard to sit here and criticize because I know it isn’t “her.” It’s socialization. Ugh. But to what degree can our actions be separated from the culture they grow from… So many things to say about this but just asdfefakwmfkwmef
